-During our time in and around the hotel volunteers are free to wear what they feel most comfortable in, however we strongly suggest gym shoes as the roads are uneven cobblestone; shorts and t-shirts are the normal attire as the weather is typically around 70F to 80F (21C to 26C), with relatively low humidity. Guatemala is a mostly conservative, Catholic, country so we encourage you to dress a little more conservatively (tops with limited belly area, and bottoms no higher than mid-thigh).

-During our time at the Clinic, the weather is much different, still with a similar temperatures (70F to 80F), but with almost 90% humidity. The clinic is slightly rural, and does not have air conditioning so lightweight and breathable options are best. We do require long pants due to the clinical environment, and to combat the different types of bugs/plants in the area from coming in contact with skin.
-To help with packing too many outfits, the Hotel does offer a laundry service at appx $1.00 (Q8.00) per article of clothing. Many people will pack 2-3 Clinic Day outfits, and then have the hotel wash them during our mid-week break so they are fresh for the second half of the week.
We strongly encourage everyone to bring only a carry-on bag, so we can get as many checked items as possible for the trips.
-Medical Equipment does not count towards your carry-on allowance, and therefor is allowed in addition to the carry-on maximum

-El Salvador is a mostly conservative, Catholic, country so we encourage you to dress a little more conservatively (limited belly area, or higher than mid-thigh exposure).
-The clinic location is extremely new, and no formal building yet exists, so we operate out of their public buildings, and open spaces. The weather is humid, so we encourage lightweight and breathable clothing. Since it is a clinical environment, long pants are required.
The clinic is located on an island, appx 1 hour boat ride from the hotel so minimal belongs are permitted to be brought to the clinic site.
It is not suggested to attend this trip for those with motion sickness, unless you know medications will work for you.
-Medical Equipment does not count towards your carry-on allowance, and therefor is allowed in addition to the carry-on maximum
